Southern Region Multiple Units are a large interest in the group so kit building features prominently. The modern scene in general is covered from diesel locos of the BR pilot programme through to Class 59s and even steam and electro diesel hauled VSOE stock has been modelled.
EMUs include 4CORs, BILs, SR and BR EPBs, HAPs, CEPs, BEPs, CIGs, BIGs, VEPs and REPs. One member has a mania for MLVs and has six finished and the remaining four on the way. BR(SR) DEMUs and WR DMMUs also feature.
The group build their own controllers and one member has built a route setter based around a microcontroller.
'OO' finescale was selected for the team's layouts to give an easier introduction for newcomers yet can still give a reasonable representation of real track if carefully painted and ballasted. Ultrascale replacement wheelsets have eased the problem of converting RTR locos to run on finer track. View the gallery 
The group is currently working on a freelance layout based on a South London scene called SE28.
