Exciting and unusual textures characterise my jewellery.

Texture is really important for me. My pieces are designed as much for the wearer as the onlooker. I want people to possess their ring or necklace, build a relationship with it, imbue it with meaning and feel it's something personal to them. That's why I like things to feel good as well as look good.

My vision is jewellery that changes with its owner's moods and feelings. Each piece can be worn in a subtle, understated way, or can help the wearer feel extravagant, celebratory.

Jewellery is a companion; it carries stories, emotions, and imprints of your life.

I make contemporary pieces with clean, simple lines. Creating much of the jewellery around stones. Rough diamonds are new to the collection this year, for example. Each design is unique and I often work to commission.

Above all, the pieces have to feel right. There must be a balance between form, texture and weight.

But it is the textures that make pieces unique. By adding a polished edge to a matte piece, or fine indentations into a soft, satin finish, the jewellery takes on a life of its own. Some of the work incorporates textures from nature such as leaf patterns and bark. I mix a range of techniques including chasing, repoussé, carving and enamel-work.

Jewellery has to be beautiful to look at. But I want mine to be beautiful to touch as well.
