My aim at Lasham Furniture workshop is to produce furniture of quality, tailored to the customer's needs. Since this takes much time and skill, it is bound to be expensive, and so the result ought to be a treasured possession, now and in future generations. I think this is best achieved not by trying to be completely original all the time, although I am always looking for new and better ways of doing things, but by always combining beauty and practicality. If an item is functional, well proportioned, simple but elegant and excellently made and finished in carefully selected timber, it cannot fail to please in any age.
