I don't have any star awards, can I still coach Paddlesport:

The BCU have, for many years, run a 'competition' Coach scheme aimed at those teaching paddlesport competition such as Polo, Sprint & Marathon racing, Slalom and White Water Racing. 

The concept of bank-side coaching is being retained within the new BCU Coaching awards with the option of completing all types of Coach award as a 'bank based coach'.  Those choosing to be bank based coaches will not need any star award pre-requisites. 

Bank Based Coaches operating with the Sea Cadets:

The Sea Cadets have not issued an instruction regarding the way in which bank based coaches may operate (or not) within the existing operating procedures for SCC paddlesport (TARS and TIs).  Further information will be available as soon as this issue has been discussed and disseminated.
