Southern Area Paddling Team Structure

Southern Area covers a wide section of the country covering the counties of Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and parts of Buckinghamshire, Wiltshire and Dorset. 

To administer and run Canoe & Kayak training across the Area an Area Staff Officer Paddlesport (ASO-Paddlesport) is appointed.  The ASO-Paddlesport is the first point of contact for all Area training, competitions and events.

At a local level, Southern Area is split into Districts with a Paddlesport Representative for each District. See the District Rep page for more details on each District.

To provide specialist courses, the Area Training Programme is supported by Lead Coaches who have responsibility for their specialist discipline. 

The point of contact for the loan of equipment is the Area Equipment Officer.  The Paddlesport Team have a small range of Area owned boat and equipment which are available to Units from within Southern Area.
