Here is our current programme taking us up to the end of October 2008.
All the walks leaders are volunteers. They are not formally trained to lead walks or to administer first-aid. They do not carry first-aid kits. They may refuse to allow someone to join a walk if, in their opinion, the person concerned does not appear suitably equipped or capable of completing the type of walk involved.
All sporting and leisure activities have inherent hazards associated with them and rambling is no exception. In the spite of the safety of members always being the paramount concern, accidents will occasionally occur. It is important therefore that when entering into the activity each member appreciates that they have responsibility to identify the hazards associated with the activity and take all reasonable steps to eliminate or minimise the potential for an accident to arise.
Dogs must be properly supervised, and, where necessary, kept on a lead. Owners are entirely responsible for their dogs.
