Welcome to the Royal School of Church Music in the Winchester Area.

We aim to promote Church Music within the Area, and to provide training and support for church musicians.

We do this through offering Training and Advice to Churches, Music Leaders and Individual Members, whatever their denomination and musical style, and also through organising various musical events, including our Area Festival, which is usually held on the 2nd Saturday in June, in Winchester Cathedral.

This is now being held on June 7th.

We've set up an e-mail list which we plan to use to communicate more easily with members of the RSCM in the Winchester Area - it is not intended to replace the paper mailings, but it will make more regular and rapid communication easier. This is part of a move to make publicity and event registration available electronically.

Paul Isted and Gary Philbrick have been maintaining a list of the music available in the huge back catalogue of Festival Service Books, going back to 1968. It is available for download from our downloads page.
