| Tuesday, 15th | Lent Studies: "Hard Sayings" When Jesus said, "Leave the dead to bury their dead" [Luke 9.60] and "Whoever comes to me and does not hate father and mother cannot be my disciple" [Luke 14.26] what did he mean? How does this sit alongside the picture of "Gentle Jesus, meek and mild" found in a well-known hymn? Or with Jesus' commandment to "Love one another" [John 13.34]? There are, in the Bible, quite a few "Hard Sayings" of Jesus, as they have come to be known. Do they have anything to say to us today? Are they compatible with our Faith? The first of five Lent study groups, led by Ben Flenley, investigating these "Hard Sayings" to see what they are all about. |

| Thursday, 24th | Passover Supper What do you think really happened in the Upper Room at the first Last Supper? We shall be holding, for the first time in these parishes, a re-enactment of those momentous events at our Passover Supper. The evening will proceed according to traditional Jewish custom, including a three-course supper, highlighting Jesus' extraordinary actions. Please bring your own cutlery for soup, main course and dessert. Everything else will be provided. Please add your name to the sign-up sheet at any of the four churches in the benefice. |

| Easter Sunday, 27th | Talents Join in our Parable Of The Talents programme by taking £10 and making it grow as much as you can for the Church by Harvest. | Tuesday, 12th | Medstead Annual Parish Meeting All residents of the Parish and members of the congregation are welcome to attend our annual Parish meeting. Responsibility for running and maintaining the Church is delegated to Churchwardens and the Parochial Church Council (PCC). At the Annual Parochial Church Meeting the PCC present their annual report and Churchwardens and members of the PCC are elected. Anyone on the Electoral Roll is eligible to vote. If you would like to nominate someone to be a Churchwarden for the year, or a member of the PCC or to fill vacancies on the Deanery Synod, then nomination forms are available. | Sunday, 1st | Benefice Rogation Walk Come and help beat the bounds with a walk through our Benefice's beautiful countryside, whilst holding a service at the same time! The Rogation Walk will start at Bentworth Church, and at suitable points along the way, by ponds, in the woodlands or fields we will pause for prayer and hymns, stopping for refreshments in a parishioner's garden at the halfway point. Walkers will need to be in strong boots and good voice! |

The classes provide an opportunity to explore the Christian Faith and the journey each of us can take in our relationship with God and each other. The figures of Mary and Joseph from St. Andrew's Nativity display will journey each night over Advent through Medstead, re-enacting their search for lodgings. The idea is Mary and Joseph stay with a different family, or in a different place, every night, starting with the Advent Sunday Service at 11am on Sunday, 27th November and returning to our Church for the Crib Service & Nativity Play at 3pm on Saturday, 24th December.
