Joining The Waynflete Singers

Total choir membership as at September 2008 was 118.
The distribution of voices was: 18 x Soprano 1; 20 x Sop 2; 24 x Alto 1; 16 x Alto 2;
8 x Tenor 1; 5 x Tenor 2; 14 x Bass 1; 13 x Bass 2. If you are interested in joining The Waynflete Singers, we are always keen to hear from you.
Applications are currently welcomed from all competent singers with sight-reading ability and in particular tenors and basses. Admission is by brief audition with our Music Director Andrew Lumsden.  Applicants will be asked to bring a simple prepared piece of their own choice. In addition, you will be asked to sight-read a piece, have aural tests and usually also sing an extract of a well-known choral work.

Our rehearsal night is Thursday at Pilgrims' School Hall in Cathedral Close behind Winchester Cathedral.
