Saturday 13th August 2005, the day designated for the West End celebrations to mark the 60th Anniversary of VJ-Day and the end of the Second World War was far from ideal weatherwise, it poured with rain! However, to everyone's surprise adults and children turned up in droves at the Parish Centre in spite of the weather.
